About Us

The Fairfield County Orchid Association (FCOA) was formed to provide a setting where orchid enthusiasts could meet to share their passion and knowledge, assist one another with orchid culture, and learn from invited experts.  Some of us enjoy orchids in retirement.  Others fit orchid activities into their busy work and family schedules.

Members are just like you, beginners with just a few orchids to more advanced growers with hundreds of orchids grown in greenhouses willing to share their experience.

That’s what makes growing orchids so gratifying — there’s always something new to learn, and the camaraderie of the fellow enthusiasts you’ll meet at FCOA meetings can be very rewarding.  Members are mainly from Fairfield County (CT).  All are welcome.

Throughout the year we present topics of interest to members at all levels — beginners, intermediate, and advanced.  Speakers range from orchid professionals that specialize in individual species to some of our very own members who share their years of knowledge about general orchid culture.  Become a member and receive our current newsletter for upcoming speakers.
